Hi Dieneke,
thanks, all is well.
In the meantime, I took some time to set up a new demo version of em11 for the scenario of our pharma customer. If you like, I can give a short demo.
Unfortunately, our customer again postponed the migration to em10 – this is now planned for August. After that, I want to start to talk to them on em11.
Best,
Irving

I know you are heavily working on em11 – but maybe you have time for some hints for us on our customer’s migration em9 to em10. This is now scheduled for Aug. 7.
In preparation of the migration, we still identified some mapping conflicts – and tried some actions to get rid of them, with minor success.
Although we think that everything is working correctly, we anyhow would like to understand the issues and a way to correct the mapping.
Also, there is a small bug displaying the keywords attribute within the advanced filter (works on Dev environment but not on Production). May be here you can help pointing us in the right direction where to search for a solution (we did already a wide-range file compare on this between Dev and Prod, checked permissions etc. - but couldn’t solve the issue).
I would be very happy, if you could spare some time for us next week to go through those 2 points. Would this be possible? Irving (email)

Meeting Summary - Exensio eMedia Upgrade
Purpose: Discussion about upgrading the customer’s eMedia system from version 10 to version 11.
Key Points:
Upgrade to Version 11:
Customer has previously migrated from version 9 to 10, a process that took longer than desired.
Version 11 offers enhanced features and performance.
EnterMediaDB is prepared to expedite the upgrade.
Migration Plan & Timeline:
Proposed timeline of 1-2 weeks with a dedicated team to accelerate the process.
Plan includes 10 meetings over 2 or 3 weeks, depending on the customer’s readiness and availability.
Technical Considerations:
Large data volume requires direct collaboration with the customer’s IT team.
Use of a Docker-based approach to streamline migration and setup in the new environment.
A detailed migration plan and proposal will be developed for the customer.
Pricing and Support:
Fixed fee model of $250 per meeting, totaling 10 meetings.
Next Steps:
Reconnect with the customer by the end of November (after their vacation) to confirm interest and availability.
EnterMediaDB to provide a migration plan and proposal for customer review prior to the follow-up.
Action Points:
Confirm customer’s interest and availability post-vacation.
Prepare and send a migration plan and proposal for the customer’s review.
Schedule the 10-meeting engagement.
Coordinate with the customer’s IT team on technical setup and data volume management.

I’m back from vacation and had some talks with Peter about the migration to EM11 for our customer Teva. (from Irving email)
The current idea is to do a first step with the technical upgrade and keep the existing asset structure. So, this first step wouldn’t include defining new structures as discussed in our sessions were we talked about other scenarios of providing access to product data related assets.
Based on this idea I have two topics I would like to discuss:
As in the current EM10-based system “Collections” are heavily used and – as far as I know – those don’t exist 1:1 in EM11, I would like to understand, how this could be managed using EM11 (e.g. via entities or albums or …).
Secondly, we would like to understand how the migration process from 10 to 11 would work (e.g. like using export / import functions, transferring data in the filesystem etc.).

Exensio - eMedia migration - November 27
Meeting Purpose
Discuss migration of Teva's eMedia system from EM10 to EM11, focusing on maintaining current functionality while exploring potential improvements.
Key Takeaways
- Migration to EM11 will maintain current collection structure and functionality initially
- Dynamic queries for collections based on metadata tags will be explored
- Timeline: Aim for implementation by March, with technical evaluation in 2 weeks
- Budget approval from Teva needed; may proceed slowly without additional funding
Topics
Current System Structure and Functionality
- Collections are used to organize different types of assets (e.g., pack shots, bill shots, brochures)
- Assets are tagged with product IDs, names, and other metadata
- Users upload assets into specific collections and manually add metadata
- Current system is more asset-centric than product-centric
EM11 Migration Approach
- Initial focus on maintaining current functionality and UI
- Collections will still be available in EM11, with potential for improved organization
- Aim to support both current asset-centric approach and future product-centric structure
- Will explore dynamic queries for collections based on metadata tags
- Color customization and UI tweaks possible to match current system
Technical Considerations
- Need to set up test environment for migration
- Will use snapshot of current system for upgrade process
- Exploring options for efficient data transfer (100GB of assets)
- Security improvements: considering passwordless authentication, two-factor options
Timeline and Process
- Technical evaluation meeting in 2 weeks (around December 11th)
- Aim to have test version ready in January
- Target implementation by March 2024
- Pace depends on budget approval from Teva
Next Steps
- Set up technical evaluation meeting in 2 weeks
- Exensio to prepare test server environment
- OpenEdit to develop strategy for compatible migration
- Explore minor UI/UX improvements for EM11 version
- Exensio to seek budget approval from Teva for expedited process
Action Items
- Prepare EM11 version compatible w/ current setup; focus on upgrade w/ minimal changes; ready for demo by Dec 11
- Set up test server w/ copy of current TIVA DAM system (EM10); incl. all files, data, configs for upgrade test
- Coordinate w/ Peter on test server setup; ensure all necessary data/configs from current system are included
- Schedule recurring bi-weekly tech meetings w/ Irving & Peter for gradual progress
